GA-251/1 – Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Mittlerer Schützenpanzerwagen

The Sd.Kfz. 251 became one of the most recognisable German armoured personnel carriers of the Second World War.

The 251/1 was the standard infantry carrier, designed to transport Panzergrenadiers while allowing them to accompany tanks across the battlefield with greater protection and mobility than ordinary trucks could provide.

Its distinctive half-track configuration gave it the road performance of a wheeled vehicle combined with improved cross-country capability.

GA-251/1 is an excellent centrepiece for a mechanised infantry scene – load it with troops, place infantry dismounting nearby or incorporate it into a mixed column of German armour and support vehicles.
