GWUS-11 – U.S. Marine Corps Marching – 2 Pieces

The United States Marine Corps established a formidable reputation on the Western Front during 1918.

Marine units serving within the U.S. Army's 2nd Division took part in some of the most famous American actions of the war, including the bitter fighting around Belleau Wood in June 1918.

GWUS-11 portrays two U.S. Marines marching, showing the men away from the immediate moment of combat.

The marching poses make the set particularly versatile. The Marines can be shown moving towards the front, passing through a French village, travelling along a military road or joining a larger column of American troops.

Such scenes also provide an opportunity to combine infantry with Mack trucks, engineers and officers, creating a broader picture of the American forces arriving and moving through France during the final year of the war.

For a larger Marine display, multiple marching poses can create the impression of an entire formation moving forward.

Available from The Military Workshop – two finely detailed John Jenkins Designs U.S. Marines representing the men whose fighting in France became an important chapter in Marine Corps history.
