JRCAV-01 – Bagot's Hussar – Jacobite Army
The Jacobite army is overwhelmingly associated with Highland infantry, but it also contained a small and varied mounted element.
JRCAV-01 – Bagot's Hussar represents one of those less familiar cavalry troops.
The inclusion of cavalry gives a Jacobite display a very different dimension. Mounted men could perform reconnaissance, carry messages, screen movements and provide mobility that infantry simply could not match.
Rather than placing Bagot's Hussar directly among the charging Highlanders, he works particularly well on a flank or behind the main line, suggesting communication or observation of the battlefield.
He can also be combined with the Prince's Lifeguard figures to create a compact mounted contingent around Bonnie Prince Charlie and his command group.
