GGNC-02 – Natal Carabineers – 2 Pieces
The British regular army was only one part of the force available during the Anglo-Zulu War. Colonial volunteers, irregulars and auxiliaries also played important roles throughout the campaign.
Among these were the Natal Carabineers, a mounted volunteer unit with roots stretching back to the mid-19th century.
GGNC-02 presents two Natal Carabineers, giving collectors the opportunity to represent the locally raised mounted forces operating alongside British regular troops.
They are particularly useful for adding variety to a collection dominated by Imperial infantry, showing the broader composition of the forces involved in the campaign.
Available through The Military Workshop – a distinctive two-piece John Jenkins Designs Natal Carabineers set representing the colonial volunteers of the Anglo-Zulu War.
