CS01170 - 11th Mississippi Re-Loading | The Collectors Showcase
From command and colour-bearing to rifle fire, ammunition duties and casualties, the 11th Mississippi figures tell different parts of a connected story. The regiment's costly role in Pickett's Charge gives this range a powerful historical setting for an American Civil War display.
The Re-Loading figure captures an infantryman preparing to fire again, a practical necessity during the sustained pressure of Civil War combat. It complements the standing and kneeling firing soldiers while adding an intermediate moment to the movement of the line. For a 11th Mississippi display, this pose can sit behind an advancing group or beside other riflemen already engaged.
Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.
