The Confederate infantryman is one of the defining figures of the American Civil War. Advancing and withdrawing under fire, maintaining formation and responding to an officer's orders demanded coordination even when the noise and confusion of battle made every movement difficult.

The REB Shooting figure catches an infantryman engaged in the most immediate task of combat: bringing his weapon to bear. The action provides a strong central pose for a Confederate firing line, especially when combined with a kneeling marksman and a soldier reloading.
