The Confederate infantryman is one of the defining figures of the American Civil War. Advancing and withdrawing under fire, maintaining formation and responding to an officer's orders demanded coordination even when the noise and confusion of battle made every movement difficult.

An infantryman could not remain in continuous action without stopping to reload, making this pose an important companion to the firing figures. The REB Re-Loading miniature captures one of the less dramatic but essential movements between shots. It adds an authentic sense of sequence when placed behind or beside soldiers who are already firing, showing how a Confederate battle line might remain engaged over time.

This 54mm Confederate miniature is suited to a display of troops in the midst of battle. Combine it with the other REB officers, standard-bearers and fighting poses to build a varied formation with convincing movement across the ground.
