GG03-02 – 3rd East Kent Regiment | John Jenkins Designs

GG03-02 represents soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 3rd East Kent Regiment during the Battle of Gingindlovu.

After the disaster at Isandlwana, Lord Chelmsford took particular care to ensure his camps were fortified and ammunition was readily available. At Gingindlovu, those preparations allowed the British and colonial troops to meet the Zulu attack from a strong defensive position.

The East Kent figures provide the essential rank-and-file infantry needed to populate that defence. Several sets can be arranged along the perimeter, supported by artillery and other units from the relief column.
