GGZ-31 – Zulus with Muskets | John Jenkins Designs

GGZ-31 – Zulus with Muskets brings firearm-equipped warriors of the inGobamakhosi Regiment into the Battle of Gingindlovu collection.

Although firearms varied greatly in quality and availability among Zulu warriors, muskets and other guns were certainly present during the war. Their inclusion in a diorama helps move beyond the familiar image of every Zulu warrior being equipped solely for close combat.

These figures can be positioned as skirmishers, firing towards the British laager while other elements of the impi press forward with shield and spear.

Combined with the other Gingindlovu releases, GGZ-31 helps build a much richer battlefield in which different parts of the Zulu army appear to be performing different roles.
