Long before the military empires of Greece and Rome, the Hittite Empire was one of the great powers of the ancient Near East.

HITT-10A – Hittite Spearman represents an infantryman from the armies of this powerful Bronze Age state during the period of the Battle of Kadesh.

While Hittite chariots played a spectacular and important role, they operated as part of a much larger force containing thousands of soldiers on foot. Infantry helped protect positions, support mounted elements and sustain the army during prolonged campaigning.

HITT-10A makes an excellent supporting figure alongside the larger chariot pieces, allowing collectors to build the mass of warriors required for a convincing Bronze Age battlefield.
