HITT-10BN – 3 Hittite Spearmen | John Jenkins Designs

The Battle of Kadesh, fought around 1274 BC, brought two of the great powers of the Late Bronze Age into confrontation – Ramesses II’s Egypt and the Hittite Empire of King Muwatalli II.

Although Kadesh is famous for its chariots, infantry still provided the essential manpower behind both armies.

HITT-10BN – 3 Hittite Spearmen represents warriors from the infantry serving the Hittite cause. Spears, shields and relatively practical equipment suited men expected to travel considerable distances during campaigning.

The three-figure grouping is particularly useful for adding the numbers required behind Hittite chariots and command figures, transforming individual pieces into the appearance of a substantial field army.

Now available from The Military Workshop – an excellent John Jenkins Designs three-man set for expanding the Hittite army at Kadesh.
