The Jacobite Rising was not fought solely by Highland clansmen. Lowland Scots also joined Charles Edward Stuart’s attempt to restore the Stuart dynasty to the British throne.

JR-28A – Lowland Infantry represents one of these soldiers and provides a useful contrast to the Highland warriors found throughout the Jacobite range.

Lowland troops could be organised along more conventional European lines, adding another dimension to the army that marched into England in 1745 before eventually retreating to Scotland and meeting defeat at Culloden.

JR-28A works particularly well with the accompanying B and multi-figure versions, allowing collectors to build a sizeable Lowland formation.
