The Jacobite army of 1745–46 was considerably more diverse than the familiar image of Highland clansmen charging with broadsword and targe.

JR-28BN – 3 Lowland Infantry represents the Lowland Scots who also served the Stuart cause. These men could be organised and drilled more closely along conventional European military lines and formed an important part of Charles Edward Stuart’s army.

The three-figure grouping is particularly useful for creating a substantial body of Jacobite infantry rather than concentrating entirely on Highland formations.

Combined with JR-28A, JR-28B and the accompanying Lowland sets, these figures can help build a much broader representation of the Jacobite army at Culloden on 16 April 1746.
