QFA-03 - Artillery Crew Firing | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure French Artillery Crew depicts soldiers operating artillery during the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759, one of the decisive engagements of the French and Indian War.

The figures are represented in the act of firing artillery, providing an important addition to the French military forces portrayed in the Quebec campaign collection.

Artillery formed part of the armies assembled during the struggle for control of Quebec, supporting the infantry forces involved in the campaign.

The Siege of Quebec culminated in the Battle of the Plains of Abraham on 13 September 1759, when British forces under General James Wolfe confronted the French army commanded by the Marquis de Montcalm.

The French forces defending Quebec included regular infantry, artillery and supporting troops, while the British campaign involved an extensive operation along the St. Lawrence River.

The resulting battle became a turning point in the contest between Britain and France for control of New France.

This artillery crew is designed to complement the French cannon figures within the collection and is illustrated alongside the Swedish 4lb Cannon, QFGUN-02.

An excellent addition for collectors wishing to develop a French artillery position, particularly when displayed alongside cannon, artillery equipment and infantry from the Battle of Quebec range.
