RR-30 - Roger's Rangers | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure set represents Roger's Rangers during the French and Indian War, depicting members of the renowned colonial ranger force raised in New Hampshire under the command of Major Robert Rogers.

The figures portray two Rangers in contrasting positions, with one standing and reaching for a cartridge while the second kneels and fires his musket. Together, they capture the combination of reloading and firing associated with the Rangers' woodland operations.

Roger's Rangers developed a reputation for their unconventional approach to warfare. Trained as rapidly deployable light infantry, they were employed primarily for reconnaissance, intelligence gathering and specialised operations against distant enemy positions.

Their methods drew upon earlier colonial frontier experience and were formalised by Rogers in his celebrated 28 Rules of Ranging.

The effectiveness of these tactics led to the expansion of the original company into a substantial corps that became an important scouting force for the British Army in North America.

This two-figure set is an excellent addition to a Roger's Rangers formation, particularly when displayed alongside other skirmishing and advancing figures from the Raid on St. Francis collection.
