RR-33 - Roger's Rangers | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure set represents Roger's Rangers during the French and Indian War, depicting soldiers engaged in the loading and firing of their muskets.

One Ranger is shown standing while ramming his musket, while the second kneels in a firing position. The contrasting poses illustrate different stages of musket operation during an engagement.

Roger's Rangers were a colonial light infantry force raised in New Hampshire under Major Robert Rogers and attached to the British Army during the Seven Years' War.

The Rangers specialised in reconnaissance, intelligence gathering and raids against enemy positions, undertaking operations that required mobility and familiarity with North American woodland terrain.

Their military methods were influenced by earlier colonial frontier practices and were formalised by Rogers in his 28 Rules of Ranging.

The effectiveness of the original company led to the development of a larger ranger corps that became an important component of British military operations during the late 1750s.

This two-figure set makes an excellent addition to a Roger's Rangers infantry formation, particularly when combined with other loading, firing and advancing figures to recreate an active woodland skirmish.
