RR-34 - Roger's Rangers | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure set represents Roger's Rangers during the French and Indian War, depicting soldiers from the colonial light infantry corps commanded by Major Robert Rogers.

The figures portray two Rangers in contrasting positions, including one standing with his musket pointed downwards and a second kneeling. Their poses provide a useful variation from the loading and firing figures represented elsewhere in the collection.

Roger's Rangers were raised in the Province of New Hampshire and attached to the British Army during the Seven Years' War.

The Rangers specialised in unconventional warfare, including reconnaissance, intelligence gathering and raids against enemy positions.

Robert Rogers trained his men to undertake operations suited to the challenging conditions of the North American frontier, drawing upon methods developed by earlier colonial ranger forces.

These principles were formalised in his 28 Rules of Ranging, which became closely associated with the organisation and conduct of the corps.

The effectiveness of the Rangers resulted in the expansion of the original company into a substantial force that supported British military operations throughout the region.

This two-figure set complements the other Roger's Rangers releases and is particularly suitable for creating a varied woodland patrol or historical military display.
