RR-34D - Roger's Rangers | John Jenkins Designs

This four-figure set depicts Roger's Rangers during the French and Indian War, representing soldiers serving within the specialist colonial light infantry corps commanded by Major Robert Rogers.

The set includes two standing Rangers with their muskets pointed downwards and two kneeling Rangers, creating a varied group of soldiers suitable for a woodland patrol or military formation.

Roger's Rangers were established in New Hampshire and attached to British forces during the Seven Years' War. Their responsibilities included reconnaissance, gathering intelligence and conducting specialised raids against enemy positions.

The corps was developed around the principles of mobility, unconventional warfare and knowledge of the North American frontier.

Robert Rogers drew upon earlier colonial military experience to establish a series of instructions governing ranger operations. These became known as the 28 Rules of Ranging.

The success of the original company led to the expansion of the corps, which became a valuable scouting and intelligence-gathering force for the British Army during the late 1750s.

This four-figure set provides an excellent addition to the Raid on St. Francis collection, particularly when combined with other Ranger figures to create larger formations depicting reconnaissance and woodland military operations.
