RRB-01X - Merry Grenadiers | John Jenkins Designs
This two-figure set, titled "Merry Grenadiers", represents British regular soldiers during the French and Indian War in North America.
The figures form part of the Raid on St. Francis, 1759 collection, which includes British regular infantry, provincial regiments, Rogers' Rangers and Woodland Indian figures.
Grenadiers were an established component of British infantry regiments during the 18th century, forming part of the military forces involved in the campaigns against France and its allies.
The French and Indian War brought British regular soldiers and colonial troops into a series of demanding campaigns across North America, with military operations taking place around important frontier settlements, forts and waterways.
The distinctive "Merry Grenadiers" title provides an alternative to the more conventional marching, firing and advancing figures within the collection.
This two-figure set is a manufacturer's limited edition of 500 and makes an interesting addition to a British military display, particularly when combined with other figures from the Raid on St. Francis series.
Now available from The Military Workshop.
