RRBC-03N - Connecticut Reg. Set | John Jenkins Designs

This four-figure set represents line infantry of the Connecticut Provincial Regiment standing at attention during the French and Indian War.

Identified as the second at-attention set in the collection, the figures allow collectors to expand their Connecticut provincial infantry formations.

Connecticut played an important role in supplying soldiers for British campaigns during the conflict against France in North America.

In August 1755, provincial troops from Connecticut participated in William Johnson's expedition against Fort Saint-Frédéric.

During the campaign, British and colonial forces operated around Lake George and established important defensive positions in the region.

Connecticut continued to contribute military forces throughout the war, raising additional provincial regiments as British operations expanded.

In March 1758, the Connecticut Assembly authorised the formation of four regiments, with a planned strength of 5,000 men.

These troops participated in the expedition against Fort Carillon, including the unsuccessful British attack of 8 July 1758.

This four-figure set provides an excellent addition to a larger colonial infantry display, particularly when combined with the other Connecticut Provincial infantry, officers and drummers.
