RRBC-09D - Drummers | John Jenkins Designs

This set of Connecticut Provincial Drummers represents military musicians serving with the Connecticut colonial forces during the French and Indian War.

The figures provide an important regimental element for collectors wishing to assemble a larger Connecticut Provincial Regiment formation.

Connecticut raised substantial military forces to support British operations against France during the conflict in North America.

In 1755, Connecticut provincial soldiers participated in the expedition against Fort Saint-Frédéric under William Johnson.

The campaign involved military operations around Lake George and the establishment of British defensive positions.

Connecticut continued to organise additional forces during the following years, particularly as the conflict expanded across the northern frontier.

In March 1758, the colonial Assembly authorised the raising of 5,000 provincial soldiers, divided into four regiments.

These troops subsequently participated in the British expedition against Fort Carillon.

This drummer set complements the regiment's line infantry and other military figures, helping collectors create a more complete historical representation of the Connecticut Provincial forces.
