SF-03 - La Reine | John Jenkins Designs
This three-figure set represents French Regular Infantry of the Régiment de La Reine, depicted skirmishing during the Battle on Snowshoes on 14 March 1758.
The figures form part of the French forces represented in this historical collection, which recreates the conflict between British provincial rangers and French troops during the French and Indian War.
The Battle on Snowshoes took place during the struggle between Britain and France for control of North America.
The collection brings together several groups associated with the engagement, including French regular infantry, French Marines, militia, Woodland Indian warriors and British forces.
The Régiment de La Reine figures represent the French regular infantry component of this wider military force.
Their skirmishing poses make them particularly suitable for depicting soldiers engaged in woodland fighting, reflecting the nature of the North American campaigns of the period.
The set is part of a manufacturer's limited edition of 500.
These three French soldiers are an excellent addition to a Battle on Snowshoes display, particularly when combined with French Marines, militia and opposing Rogers' Rangers figures.
Now available from The Military Workshop.
