ACC PACK 104 – Iron Cage / Tiger Cage | Thomas Gunn

Designed as a versatile diorama accessory, ACC PACK 104 – Iron Cage is a substantial all-metal cage that can be used across a wide range of historical settings, from the ancient world through to much later periods.

Thomas Gunn specifically designed the cage to work with its animal releases, noting that it can hold one lion or tiger. This makes it particularly effective alongside the Thomas Gunn tiger figures ACC PACK 099A/B, creating a dramatic animal transport, arena or marketplace scene. Thomas Gunn also noted that the cage is large enough to hold several human figures, giving collectors considerable freedom in how it is used.

The heavy metal construction gives the piece a convincing sense of weight and presence. It could form part of a Roman arena scene, an animal merchant’s enclosure, a travelling menagerie, or a wagon transporting an exotic animal through a larger diorama.

Another useful feature is that the cage was designed to fit inside ACC PACK 071 Wagon/Cart, allowing collectors to create a complete transport scene rather than displaying the cage as a stand-alone accessory.
