ACCPACK133 – WW2 Torpedo Set | Thomas Gunn

During World War II, aerial torpedoes played a vital role in naval warfare, allowing aircraft to attack enemy warships and merchant vessels from the air.

Specially designed torpedo bombers, including the British Fairey Swordfish, American TBF Avenger and Japanese Nakajima B5N Kate, carried these weapons into some of the most significant naval engagements of the conflict.

One of the best-known torpedo attacks occurred during the Battle of Taranto in November 1940, when British Swordfish aircraft struck the Italian fleet. Torpedo bombers also played an important role in the battles surrounding the German battleship Bismarck and the Pacific naval campaigns.

ACCPACK133 – WW2 Torpedo Set by Thomas Gunn recreates the essential equipment used in preparing aerial torpedoes for operational missions.

This finely detailed 1/30 scale all-metal accessory set includes:

  • Two torpedoes, each positioned on its own trolley.

  • Spare wooden stabilisers, adding further detail to the display.

An excellent addition to a World War II airfield, aircraft maintenance area or naval aviation diorama, this set brings an extra level of historical realism to scenes depicting aircraft being prepared for combat.

Figures and aircraft are not included.
