CLUB014A – Kurt Welter & Schnapps the Dog

German fighter pilot Kurt Welter became particularly associated with night fighting and the revolutionary Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter during the closing stages of the Second World War.

Welter flew operationally against Allied aircraft and became one of the pilots associated with the small number of Me 262s adapted for night interception.

CLUB014A – Kurt Welter & Schnapps the Dog presents the pilot away from his aircraft and accompanied by his canine companion, giving the piece a much more personal and relaxed character.

Available through The Military Workshop – an unusual Thomas Gunn aviation set pairing Luftwaffe pilot Kurt Welter with Schnapps the dog for a distinctive WWII airfield display.
