CLUB018B – Captain Edwin Swales VC – Tropical

Before the final mission for which he received the Victoria Cross, Edwin Swales had already built an impressive wartime flying career.

The tropical version of CLUB018B presents Swales in a different uniform and provides collectors with another way of representing this decorated South African aviator.

His service ultimately took him to heavy bomber operations over Europe, where his actions in February 1945 resulted in the posthumous award of Britain's highest decoration for valour.
