CLUB024 – Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery

With his distinctive beret and forceful personality, Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery became one of Britain's most recognisable commanders of the Second World War.

His name is particularly associated with the Eighth Army and the Battle of El Alamein, where the Allied victory in late 1942 became a major turning point in the North African campaign.

Montgomery later held senior commands during the invasion of Normandy and the campaign through northwest Europe.

Available from The Military Workshop – a distinguished Thomas Gunn portrayal of Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, one of Britain's most famous and instantly recognisable WWII commanders.
