CLUB030 – Hans Günther von Kluge
Günther von Kluge was a senior German field commander whose military career spanned some of the most important campaigns of the Second World War.
He commanded forces during the campaigns in Poland, France and the Soviet Union and was promoted to Field Marshal in 1940.
In 1944, Kluge became closely involved in the increasingly desperate German battle to contain the Allied advance in Normandy. His career ended amid the political and military turmoil following the July 20 plot against Hitler.
Available through The Military Workshop – a Thomas Gunn portrayal of Field Marshal Günther von Kluge, a major German commander whose career reflected both the early victories and eventual collapse of the Wehrmacht.
