EGYPT007 – Mark Antony Meets the Snake Charmer

Ancient Egypt fascinated visitors from the wider Mediterranean world, and few Romans became more closely connected with the country than Mark Antony.

His political and personal alliance with Cleopatra VII placed him at the centre of the struggle for control of the Roman world following the assassination of Julius Caesar.

EGYPT007 – Mark Antony Meets the Snake Charmer takes a more colourful approach to this famous Roman, placing him within an unmistakably Egyptian scene rather than on the battlefield.

The result is a wonderfully different vignette combining Roman history, Egyptian atmosphere and everyday entertainment.

Available from The Military Workshop – a characterful Thomas Gunn scene bringing Mark Antony into the colour and spectacle of ancient Egypt.
