The 60th Regiment of Foot, later known as the King's Royal Rifle Corps, has a fascinating history stretching back to the mid-18th century. Originally raised in North America, the regiment became closely associated with the specialised light infantry tactics required for campaigning through forests and difficult frontier terrain.
