FJ022A – Rocket Men – Normandy

The appearance of large numbers of Allied tanks in Normandy forced German infantry to rely increasingly on portable anti-tank weapons that could be carried and fired by individual soldiers.

FJ022A – Rocket Men depicts Fallschirmjäger equipped for this dangerous role during the Normandy campaign of 1944. Anti-tank teams often had to allow enemy armour to approach frighteningly close before attempting an effective shot, making their task particularly hazardous.

These figures work superbly concealed among hedgerows, ruined buildings or roadside positions, waiting for Allied armour to appear.

Available from The Military Workshop – a dramatic Thomas Gunn Fallschirmjäger anti-tank team designed for the close and dangerous fighting of Normandy.
