GGZ-12 – Zulu Warrior
The Zulu warrior of 1879 belonged to a military tradition developed over generations. Although firearms were increasingly present within the Zulu army, the principal weapons associated with its warriors remained the shield and close-combat spear, supported by a tactical system designed to bring large numbers of men rapidly against an opponent.
GGZ-12 – Zulu Warrior captures an individual member of that army and is an excellent figure for introducing another pose into a growing impi.
Single-figure releases are especially useful in large dioramas. GGZ-12 can fill a gap between larger groups, take a prominent position in the front ranks or be used in a smaller confrontation with British or colonial troops.
Combined with the numerous GGZ releases, collectors can create a Zulu formation that looks irregular and energetic while still reflecting the organised regimental nature of the army.
The Military Workshop is pleased to offer GGZ-12 – another characterful John Jenkins Designs Zulu Warrior ready to join the fighting ranks of your Anglo-Zulu War collection.
