GW034A – British Officer in Trench Coat with Rifle

Although pistols were closely associated with officers, battlefield circumstances could see them carrying rifles like the men around them.

GW034A depicts a British officer in a trench coat armed with a rifle, giving him the appearance of an officer directly involved with his troops at the front.

The practical combination of coat and rifle makes the figure easy to incorporate among ordinary infantry without losing his command presence.

Available through The Military Workshop – a distinctive Thomas Gunn British officer portraying leadership at the sharp end of the Great War.
