GW040B – Stormtrooper Wearing Gas Mask

German Stormtroopers were developed to break the deadlock of trench warfare through aggressive small-unit tactics, infiltration and concentrated attacks against vulnerable points.

GW040B combines the appearance of one of these assault troops with another defining feature of the Great War – the gas mask.

The result is a particularly imposing figure suited to the later years of the conflict, when Stormtroopers might advance through devastated terrain under artillery fire and the continuing threat of chemical agents.

Available from The Military Workshop – a striking Thomas Gunn German Stormtrooper embodying two of the most recognisable elements of late-war trench combat.
