GW050A – German Maxim Machine Gun

Few weapons symbolise the deadly defensive power of the First World War more effectively than the Maxim machine gun.

Germany's MG08, derived from Hiram Maxim's design, was capable of sustained automatic fire and became a formidable obstacle to infantry attempting to cross exposed ground.

GW050A – Maxim MG German introduces this important weapon into the German line, where it can become the centre of a trench emplacement or prepared defensive position.

Available from The Military Workshop – an essential Thomas Gunn German Maxim machine gun representing one of the weapons that came to define warfare on the Western Front.
