GW051B – Raoul Lufbery with Lion Cubs

Few First World War aviation figures had a story quite like Raoul Lufbery.

American-born Lufbery flew for France before the United States entered the war, becoming closely associated with the famous Lafayette Escadrille. He later served with the US Air Service and became one of America's best-known early fighter aces.

GW051B portrays Lufbery with the lion cub mascots associated with the Lafayette Escadrille, giving the set enormous character and making it far more than a conventional standing-pilot figure.

Available through The Military Workshop – a wonderfully distinctive Thomas Gunn portrayal of Raoul Lufbery accompanied by the famous feline mascots of the Lafayette Escadrille.
