The RS080A - General Yoshujiro Umezu (Round Grass Base) depicts one of the senior commanders of the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War.

General Yoshijirō Umezu (1882–1949) had a long military career, serving in a number of senior staff and command positions before becoming Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Army in 1944. As Japan’s military situation deteriorated during the final stages of the war, Umezu was responsible for overseeing the remaining army forces and was one of the senior representatives who signed the Japanese Instrument of Surrender aboard the USS Missouri on 2 September 1945.

This figure represents the senior leadership of Japan during one of the most significant periods in modern military history. The detailed uniform and commanding pose make it an impressive addition for collectors interested in World War II commanders, Pacific War history and military leadership.

A distinctive historical figure that adds depth and context to displays covering the final years of the Second World War.
