SFA036A - Kneeling Firing 24th Foot - Private
The SFA036A - Kneeling Firing 24th Foot - Private represents a soldier of the 24th Regiment of Foot (2nd Warwickshire Regiment) during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.
The 24th Foot became one of the most famous British regiments of the Victorian era due to its involvement in the dramatic battles of the Zulu War. The regiment suffered a devastating defeat at the Battle of Isandlwana on 22 January 1879, before later gaining distinction during the heroic defence of Rorke’s Drift.
Armed with the Martini-Henry rifle, soldiers of the 24th Foot were trained to deliver disciplined fire and hold defensive positions against overwhelming attacks. Their actions during the campaign became an enduring part of British military history.
This figure pays tribute to the ordinary infantryman who served during one of the most famous conflicts of the Victorian age and is a must-have addition for collectors of the Anglo-Zulu War and British regimental history.
