SPA025A - Kneeling Spartan w/Corinthian Helmet - Red Lambda Shield

The Corinthian helmet is one of the most recognisable pieces of armour from ancient Greece. Developed during the Archaic and Classical periods, it provided excellent protection for the head and face while becoming a symbol of the disciplined hoplite warrior.

This figure portrays a kneeling Spartan warrior wearing a Corinthian helmet and carrying a red Lambda shield. The combination of the traditional helmet and the famous Spartan symbol creates an instantly recognisable representation of ancient Greek military tradition.

Spartan hoplites were trained to fight as part of the phalanx, a tightly organised formation where discipline and teamwork were more important than individual actions. The Lambda shield represented the warrior's connection to Sparta and the community he fought to defend.

The kneeling pose provides a dramatic and realistic appearance, making this figure suitable for battle scenes, defensive displays, or as part of a larger Spartan collection.

The Military Workshop is pleased to offer collectors historical miniatures that celebrate the artistry, equipment, and traditions of warriors from ancient civilisations through to modern military history.
