VIK-20A – Viking Warrior | John Jenkins Designs
The Svinfylking was one of the distinctive battlefield formations associated with Viking and Germanic warriors during the early medieval period.
Known as the "Boar Snout" formation, this arrangement placed warriors in a wedge designed to penetrate the opposing battle line through the concentrated force of an advancing attack.
John Jenkins Designs explains that several wedge formations could be positioned alongside one another, creating a zigzag appearance across the battlefield.
Although the formation could deliver a powerful initial impact, it was vulnerable to attacks against its flanks and could become ineffective if the enemy line held firm.
VIK-20A – Viking Warrior by John Jenkins Designs depicts a Viking soldier charging forward, representing one of the warriors taking part in a Svinfylking assault.
Designed to complement the other charging Vikings within the range, this figure can be displayed as part of a larger formation advancing towards an enemy shield wall.
Part of the Age of Arthur – The Vikings collection.
