ATW007A – BAR Gunner Firing Prone – 101st Airborne

The Browning Automatic Rifle, better known as the BAR, provided American infantry with mobile automatic firepower that could accompany troops during an advance.

ATW007A depicts a 101st Airborne BAR gunner firing from the prone position, using the low stance to present a smaller target while directing fire towards the enemy.

The pose works particularly well in Normandy terrain, where hedgerows, ditches and fields offered countless opportunities for troops to fire from cover.

Available through The Military Workshop – a hard-fighting Thomas Gunn 101st Airborne BAR gunner ready to provide automatic fire from the front line.
