GW051A – Wilhelm Frankl
Wilhelm Frankl was one of Germany's notable fighter aces of the First World War. He began the conflict flying reconnaissance missions before becoming a fighter pilot and ultimately achieved 20 confirmed aerial victories.
Frankl was awarded the prestigious Pour le Mérite, commonly known as the Blue Max. He was killed in aerial combat in April 1917.
GW051A – Wilhelm Frankl brings this important early German aviation personality into miniature form and is particularly well suited to an airfield display alongside aircraft, ground crew and fellow pilots.
Available from The Military Workshop – a Thomas Gunn portrayal of WWI fighter ace Wilhelm Frankl, commemorating one of Germany's leading combat aviators of the Great War.
