Once Mexican soldiers succeeded in reaching and overcoming the Alamo's outer defences, the battle became an increasingly desperate struggle at extremely close range.

RTA038 – Fighting Duo I captures two opponents locked in the confusion of hand-to-hand combat.

Because the figures interact directly, the set tells a complete story by itself. Within a larger Alamo display, however, it can become part of the chaotic final struggle as the defenders are overwhelmed by Santa Anna's troops.
