TRW009 – Standing Dragoon

The mounted troops known as dragoons played an important role in the expansion of the United States across the western frontier. Expected to operate both mounted and on foot, these soldiers combined the mobility of cavalry with the ability to fight as dismounted troops when circumstances required.

TRW009 – Standing Dragoon depicts one of these frontier soldiers away from the saddle, ready to take his place in a patrol, encampment or developing confrontation.

His standing pose makes him particularly useful alongside mounted dragoons, helping create a scene in which some men have already dismounted while others remain on horseback.
