Two Moons was a Northern Cheyenne leader and warrior who took part in several major clashes during the Great Sioux War, including the Battle of the Rosebud and the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876.

In later life, Two Moons became an important intermediary between his people and the United States government, making his story part of both the warfare and the difficult transition that followed the Plains conflicts.
