VN015 – The USMC M50A1 Ontos

Few American fighting vehicles of the Vietnam era looked quite like the M50A1 Ontos. Armed with six externally mounted 106mm recoilless rifles, the compact tracked vehicle could deliver a devastating concentration of direct fire.

Originally developed with anti-armour combat in mind, the Ontos proved particularly valuable to U.S. Marines for engaging fortified positions and enemy-held buildings.

VN015 – The USMC M50A1 Ontos recreates this remarkable vehicle and makes a very distinctive centrepiece for a Marine armoured collection.
