Much of Australia's combat experience in Vietnam revolved around patrolling, ambushing and searching for enemy forces, particularly within Phước Tuy Province.

VN030 – Australian Patrol Section brings together Australian soldiers equipped and posed for this characteristic style of operation. Rather than depicting a formal advance, the set lends itself to a more cautious formation with the men spread naturally across the terrain.

Rubber trees, jungle vegetation and long grass provide the ideal surroundings, with VN031 – Aussie Patrol Commander making a natural addition.
