VN039 – Marine Grenadier

Grenadiers gave infantry squads additional firepower by carrying weapons capable of delivering explosive rounds beyond normal hand-grenade range. In Vietnam, this capability was particularly valuable against enemy positions concealed by vegetation or protected by field fortifications.
