VN071 – The Battle of Long Tan Set #1

On 18 August 1966, D Company of the 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, encountered a much larger enemy force in a rubber plantation near Long Tan in Phước Tuy Province.

The battle developed amid torrential rain as the Australians faced repeated attacks while artillery from Nui Dat provided vital support. Reinforcements eventually reached the company, and Long Tan became one of the most remembered actions of Australia's involvement in Vietnam.

VN071 – The Battle of Long Tan Set #1 recreates Australian soldiers from this historic engagement and provides a natural starting point for a dedicated Long Tan display.
