VN082 – The Battle of Long Tan Set #2
On 18 August 1966, soldiers of D Company, 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (6 RAR) fought a much larger Viet Cong and North Vietnamese force in a rubber plantation near Long Tan in Phước Tuy Province.
Fighting in torrential rain and under intense pressure, the Australians held their position with crucial artillery support until reinforcements arrived. Long Tan became one of the best-known actions involving Australian forces during the Vietnam War.
VN082 – The Battle of Long Tan Set #2 forms part of King & Country's representation of this important Australian action and can be combined with other Long Tan figures to create a larger battle scene among the rubber trees.
Available from The Military Workshop – a significant King & Country set commemorating one of the defining battles in Australia's Vietnam War history.
